Net income after\nnoncontrolling interests in the second quarter of 2026 was $74 million\ncompared with $66 million in the second quarter of 2025. Diluted earnings per\nshare were $5.60 in the second quarter of 2026 compared with $5.18 diluted\nearnings per share in the second quarter of 2025.\n\nManagement Commentary\n“HCI Group capped a strong start to the year delivering record second\nquarter financial results for the first half of 2026,” said HCI Group\nChairman and Chief Executive Officer Paresh Patel. “Our focus continues to\nbe on achieving exceptional performance in all types of operating\nenvironments.”\n\nSecond Quarter 2026 Results\nGross premiums earned in the second quarter of 2026 were $321 million compared\nwith $303 million in the second quarter of 2025. The increase of 6% was driven\nby a higher volume of insurance policies in force while average premium per\npolicy remained relatively consistent.\n\nPremiums ceded for reinsurance in the second quarter of 2026 were $102 million\ncompared with $103 million in the second quarter of 2025.
