Initial drilling has intersected exceptionally high-grade\nquartz-tourmaline veins within a much broader intrusive-hosted mineralized\nsystem, providing important new information on the scale and character of the\nemerging Thundermine gold system.\n\nVIDEO DISCUSSING THUNDERMINE AND TODAY’S RESULTS\nHear directly from Nuvau management on the Thundermine results and what the\ngeology is telling us. (https://api.newsfilecorp.com/redirect/YEy02iWaP1)\n\nHighlights of drill results:\n* TH-26-08 intersected 138.87 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au) over 4.45\nmetres, including two exceptionally high-grade quartz-tourmaline veins grading\n629.15 g/t Au over 0.85 metres and 236.95 g/t Au over 0.35 metres.\n* Widespread gold mineralization (TH-26-05) intersected over 180.4 metres,\naveraging 0.57 g/t Au across the interval and containing multiple mineralized\nveins and veinlets, including 10.52 g/t Au over 2.70 metres and five\nindividual intervals above 10 g/t Au.\n* All 10 summer drillholes intersected the targeted tonalitic intrusive and\nassociated hydrothermal system, with visible gold observed in seven holes.\n* Assays from seven drillholes remain pending, while the mineralized system\nremains open at depth and to the southeast within a broader kilometre-scale\nstructural and geophysical area of interest.\n\"These initial assay results from Thundermine, together with the geological\ndata accumulated from 10 holes of drilling, are very encouraging and have\nestablished this as a highly prospective gold target. These are the first\nassays from our summer drill program,\" said Christina McCarthy, Nuvau's Chief\nExecutive Officer. \"We have intersected high-grade gold veins within a much\nbroader disseminated intrusive and are seeing the same setting continue as we\nstep away from the limited area that was drilled historically.\"\n\nMcCarthy added, \"The similarities to the quartz-tourmaline gold systems with\nthe large-scale gold deposits in the Sigma-Lamaque district in Val-d'Or\nprovide a compelling geological model to follow, and Thundermine remains open\nat depth and along strike. With seven holes still pending and only a small\npart of the larger prospective trend tested, we are just getting started.\"\n\n(https://images.newsfilecorp.com/files/11236/313561_nuvauone.jpg)\nFigure 1: Mineralization and visible gold in quartz-tourmaline veining from\nTH-26-08.\n\nTo view an enhanced version of this graphic, please visit:\nhttps://images.newsfilecorp.com/files/11236/313561_nuvauone.jpg\n\nFrom Historical Gold Occurrences to an Emerging Gold System\nThundermine, located in the northern sector of Nuvau's Matagami property, was\nfirst explored for copper in the late 1950s, before limited drilling in the\n1980s identified an adjacent gold showing in six holes. Selective historical\nsampling returned non-verified intervals(1) including 78.16 g/t Au over 1.0\nmetre, 26.40 g/t Au over 0.8 metres, and 3.73 g/t Au over 9.4 metres. Despite\nthese results, the gold showing saw no follow-up drilling for nearly 40 years.\n\nNuvau returned to Thundermine in 2026 for the first modern, systematic,\nevaluation of its gold potential. Winter drilling intersected 5.28 g/t Au over\n6.1 metres, including 7.22 g/t Au over 3.1 metres, approximately 200 metres\nbelow the historical intercepts. In the summer, Hole TH-26-05 tested a\nhistorical mineralized position, providing modern geological observations and\nassays against which the historical information could be compared. Subsequent\nholes stepped out approximately 25 to 50 metres from historical intercepts and\nfrom one another (Figure 2), extending the tested footprint approximately 80\nmetres to the southeast and 200 metres deeper than historical drilling, with\nall 10 holes intersecting the targeted tonalitic intrusive and associated\nhydrothermal system.\n\nThe emerging picture is increasingly compelling.\n\nDrilling is outlining a broad, mineralized intrusive cut by multiple\ngenerations of gold-bearing veins, including locally very high-grade\nquartz-tourmaline veins. The setting shares characteristics with the\nwell-known orogenic gold systems of the Sigma-Lamaque district in Val-d'Or,\nproviding an important geological model for continued exploration. Combined\nhistorical and Nuvau drilling now traces the geological framework for more\nthan 300 metres along trend and more than 400 metres vertically, and it\nremains open to the southeast and at depth within a broader kilometre-scale\narea of interest.\n\nTable 1: Selected Thundermine drillhole assays above 5 grams of gold per tonne\nof rock (g/t). The tonalitic intrusive forms a\nsteeply dipping body interpreted to be approximately 150 metres thick, with\nlocally developed branches or apophyses extending into the surrounding\nvolcanic sequence (Figure 3).\n\nPervasive sericite-silica alteration is associated with multiple generations\nof quartz-carbonate-tourmaline(-fuchsite) veins containing pyrite and minor\nchalcopyrite. The relative timing and spatial relationships between these vein\ngenerations and associated alteration are not yet fully resolved, and\nalternative interpretations are being evaluated.\n\nGold mineralization is spatially associated with the vein system, with locally\nhigh-grade mineralization hosted in discrete veins and broader disseminated\nand veinlet-hosted mineralization developed in the altered intrusive around\nand between them. The persistence of the intrusive, alteration, and vein\nassemblages across the drillholes supports geological continuity of the\nhydrothermal system, although their intensity and associated gold grades vary\nbetween and within holes (Figure 4).\n\nAt a broader scale, drilling, structural interpretation and geophysical data\ndefine a kilometre-scale prospective trend centred on the intersection of\nlocal and regional structural breaks, interpreted to have provided a\nfavourable setting for intrusive emplacement and subsequent hydrothermal fluid\ncirculation (Figure 5).\n\nWith assays from seven holes pending, Nuvau is integrating analytical results\nwith lithological, alteration, structural, and mineralogical observations to\nrefine the geological model and controls on higher-grade mineralization. The\nexpanded dataset will test these interpretations and guide subsequent step-out\ndrilling along trend and at depth.\n\n(https://images.newsfilecorp.com/files/11236/313561_7552f36c943b1a94_004full.jpg)\n\nFigure 3: Cross section B and C, looking northwest (60 m projection window).\nAll reported lengths are core lengths; true widths are unknown. The\nexpanded dataset will test these interpretations and guide subsequent step-out\ndrilling along trend and at depth.\n\n(https://images.newsfilecorp.com/files/11236/313561_7552f36c943b1a94_004full.jpg)\n\nFigure 3: Cross section B and C, looking northwest (60 m projection window).\nAll reported lengths are core lengths; true widths are unknown. facility. One half of the core is submitted for\nanalysis, and the remaining half is retained on site for reference. Samples\nare sealed in individually labelled plastic bags and transported under\nchain-of-custody procedures to MSALABS in Val-d'Or, Québec, an independent\nISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory.\n\nSamples are dried, crushed to achieve approximately 70% passing 2 mm, and\nprepared for analysis. Gold assays are completed using PhotonAssay™\ntechnology on a nominal 500 g aliquot. The Company's quality assurance and\nquality control (QA/QC) program includes certified reference materials, blanks\nand duplicate samples, representing approximately 11% of all submitted\nsamples. Additional QA/QC samples are inserted at intervals that contain\nvisible mineralization. MSALABS also applies its internal quality control\nprocedures in accordance with its accredited analytical protocols.\n\nAnalytical results are reviewed through a comprehensive QA/QC verification\nprocess, including the evaluation of standards, blanks, and duplicate samples.\nReanalysis is conducted systematically where QA/QC criteria are not met. The\nQualified Person reviews the analytical results, QA/QC data, and verification\nprocedures disclosed herein and considers the results to be reliable and\nsuitable for reporting.\n\nQualified Person\nThe scientific and technical information contained in this news release has\nbeen reviewed and approved by Bastien Fresia, P. All lengths reported in this news release,\nboth historical and current, are drilled core lengths; true widths are not\nknown at this time.\n\n\nTo view the source version of this press release, please visit\nhttps://www.newsfilecorp.com/release/313561"},"type":"article","timestamp":"2026-09-09T11:06:19.926322346Z","server_sent_at_ms":1788951979926},"received_at":"2026-09-09T11:06:20.086Z","source_url":"https://www.newsfilecorp.com/release/313561"},"analysis":{"id":"127741","press_release_id":"138901","analysis_json":{"industry":{"label":"Metals & Mining","sector":"Materials"},"redFlags":["Exceptional grades come from narrow veins (0.35-0.85 m intervals); broad composite grades are modest (e.g., 180.4 m @ 0.57 g/t Au)","All reported intervals are drill core lengths; true widths of mineralization unknown","Historical intercepts cited are non-verified and not NI 43-101 compliant","No resource estimate yet; vein timing, geometry, and grade continuity not fully resolved","Forward-looking statements reference potential share-based payments under the Earn-In Agreement (dilution optionality)"],"eventType":"operations_update","narrative":"Nuvau Minerals reported initial summer drill assays from its Thundermine gold target in Matagami, Québec, headlined by 138.87 g/t gold over 4.45 metres in hole TH-26-08, including 629.15 g/t Au over 0.85 metres and 236.95 g/t Au over 0.35 metres.\n\nHole TH-26-05 cut a broad 180.4-metre interval averaging 0.57 g/t Au with five sub-intervals above 10 g/t, and all 10 summer holes intersected the targeted tonalitic intrusive with visible gold observed in seven.\n\nThe mineralized system remains open at depth and to the southeast within a kilometre-scale area of interest, assays from seven more holes are still pending, and management likens the quartz-tourmaline setting to the Sigma-Lamaque orogenic gold district in Val-d'Or.\n\nFor this early-stage junior explorer the result validates a large prospective trend, but reported grades are core lengths with unknown true widths, historical intercepts are non-verified, and no resource estimate yet exists.","sentiment":"bullish","agentHooks":{"shouldPost":true,"suggestedAngle":"Headline 138.87 g/t intercept validates Thundermine as a high-grade orogenic gold system — seven pending assays and step-out drilling are the next catalysts."},"keyFigures":{"customDimensions":{"holes_drilled":10,"assays_pending":7,"broad_interval":"180.4 m @ 0.57 g/t Au (TH-26-05)","winter_intercept":"5.28 g/t Au over 6.1 m","vertical_extent_m":400,"headline_intercept":"138.87 g/t Au over 4.45 m (TH-26-08)","land_package_sq_km":1380,"visible_gold_holes":7,"along_trend_extent_m":300,"best_narrow_interval":"629.15 g/t Au over 0.85 m","second_narrow_interval":"236.95 g/t Au over 0.35 m","concentrator_capacity_tpd":3000,"intervals_above_10gt_in_TH_26_05":5}},"quotedText":"These initial assay results from Thundermine, together with the geological\ndata accumulated from 10 holes of drilling, are very encouraging and have\nestablished this as a highly prospective gold target.","namedEntities":{"people":[{"name":"Christina McCarthy","role":"Chief Executive Officer, Nuvau Minerals"},{"name":"Bastien Fresia","role":"Director of Technical Services and Qualified Person (P.
