(CSE: CAMP) (OTC: SMATF) (FSE: A68) announces the receipt of\nnew gold analytical results from a high-resolution re-sampling program\ncompleted on drill core and mineralized material from the Company’s flagship\nMercator Gold Project in the Caniapiscau district of northeastern Québec.\n\nGeorge Yordanov, P. Geo., President & CEO commented: \"(…) The 25 cm\nre-sampling program has provided a more detailed view of gold distribution\nwithin the Mercator system. Of the 111 individual samples collected from\npreviously identified mineralized intervals (…) approximately 82% returned\ngold values above detection limits, supporting the continuity of\nmineralization across the intervals tested, demonstrating the widespread\ndistribution and continuity of gold mineralization within the horizons tested.\n(…) The program also identified additional higher-grade intervals that are\ncurrently undergoing verification and confirmatory analytical work. Results\nfrom this ongoing review are expected to be reported in a subsequent news\nrelease (…) The data generated through this program will help refine\nexploration targeting and support the next phase of work at the Mercator Gold\nProject (…).\"\n\n\nFigure 1. Regional map showing the location of the Mercator Gold Project in\nthe Caniapiscau district of northeastern Québec. The map illustrates the\nproject's position within a prospective gold-bearing geological belt and\nhighlights nearby infrastructure, regional exploration activity and the extent\nof the Company's land package.\n\nThe program consisted of 111 sub-samples cut at 25 cm intervals from\npreviously mineralized intervals in drill holes MCT-22-08, MCT-22-11 and\nMCT-22-03, as well as from three additional mineralized zones currently under\ncharacterization (identified internally as Zones Unid-1, Unid-2 and Unid-3).\nAll samples were analyzed by Impact Geosciences (IGS) in Delson, Québec using\nPb-Fusion Fire Assay with ICP-OES finish (RDL 0.006 ppm Au). The results\nfurther support the interpretation of a stratiform gold system hosted within\ngranulite-facies silicate-sulphide banded iron formations (BIFs) of the\nMeridian Zone.\n\nTable 1 — Drill Hole Collar Locations, Orientations and Re-Sampled Interval\nDepths\n\n Drill Hole Easting Northing Collar Azimuth Dip Hole Re-Sampled Reported \n (m) (m) Elev. Azimuth and dip describe the\norientation of each drill hole at the collar. Re-sampled intervals are\ndownhole sample-interval depths (metres) measured from the collar; the 25 cm\nsub-samples reported in this release were cut within these intervals. Reported\ncomposite grades are the previously disclosed weighted-mean gold grades over\nthe mineralized intervals subsequently re-sampled at 25 cm support. Reported\ninterval lengths are downhole core lengths; true widths are not known. Collar,\nsurvey and interval data are sourced from the Stelmine Canada Ltée drill\ndatabase transmitted to MRNF/SIGÉOM (22 March 2024). This information is\ndisclosed in accordance with NI 43-101 section 3.3(2)(b).\n\nHighlights of the 25 cm Re-Sampling Program\n* Approximately 82% of the 111 high-resolution samples returned gold values\nabove detection limits, supporting the continuity of mineralization across\nmultiple drill intercepts and target zones.\n* Drill hole MCT-22-11: Sub-sampling returned 6.77 g/t Au (sample 22-011-14)\nand 6.30 g/t Au (sample 22-011-27); 16 of 35 sub-samples returned ≥ 1.0 g/t\nAu, confirming the sustained high-grade nature of this intersection.\n* Drill hole MCT-22-08: Sub-sampling returned 3.40 g/t Au (sample 22-008-06),\n3.22 g/t Au (sample 22-008-21) and 2.93 g/t Au (sample 22-008-22); 11 of 25\nsub-samples returned ≥ 1.0 g/t Au, with the 25 cm resolution successfully\nisolating individual high-grade bands within the broader 17.80 m mineralized\nenvelope previously reported (2.62 g/t Au).\n* Drill hole MCT-22-03: 5 of 19 sub-samples returned ≥ 1.0 g/t Au, with a\npeak value of 1.48 g/t Au (sample 22-003-8).\n* Zones Unid-1, Unid-2 and Unid-3: Out of 30 sub-samples, 19 returned ≥ 1.0\ng/t Au, with 6 sub-samples exceeding 2.0 g/t Gold, establishing these zones as\npriority targets for follow-up work during the 2026 field season.\n* Strong reproducibility: Laboratory replicate analysis of the highest\nsub-sample (22-011-14) returned 6.77 g/t Au and 6.99 g/t Au on independent\naliquots, demonstrating excellent intra-sample homogeneity at the 25 cm scale.\n* Quality assurance: All Certified Reference Materials (Oreas 236, certified\nat 1.85 ppm Au) returned recoveries between 0.978 and 1.054 of expected value\n(within 1–2 σ); all blanks returned values below the reportable detection\nlimit.\n* Multi-element data pending: Additional analytical work covering arsenic,\ncopper, sulphur and the full pathfinder suite (As, Cu, Fe₂O₃, MnO, S, ±\nPGE) is in progress and will be reported in a subsequent news release.\nGeological Setting: Mercator’s Granulite-Facies BIF System\n\nThe Mercator Property is positioned in the southeastern Churchill Province of\nthe Canadian Shield, in the Caniapiscau district of northeastern Québec,\napproximately 170 km west of Fermont. The property covers 113 mineral claims\n(≈58.6 km²) along a regional NE-trending metasedimentary belt characterized\nby strong magnetic and electromagnetic responses attributed to iron-rich\nmetasediments and silicate-sulphide-bearing banded iron formations (BIFs)\nmetamorphosed to the granulite facies.\n\nGold mineralization at Mercator is hosted within stratiform silicate-sulphide\nBIF horizons intercalated with paragneiss, pyroxene-bearing gneiss and minor\nmafic intrusive units. These iron formations consist of finely banded layers\nof (i) quartz ± chert; (ii) garnet-pyroxene assemblages dominated by\niron-rich ferrosilite (orthopyroxene) and hedenbergite (clinopyroxene); and\n(iii) pyroxene-sulphide layers carrying variable proportions of pyrrhotite\n(typically 1–65 vol.%), arsenopyrite, löllingite, pyrite and chalcopyrite.\nAccessory minerals include grunerite (Fe-amphibole), stilpnomelane,\npentlandite, nickeline, sphalerite and native gold.\n\nPetrographic studies completed on representative drill core and channel\nsamples (Arguin, 2022, 2023; reproduced in the Mercator NI 43-101 Technical\nReport) demonstrate that visible native gold occurs in four distinct\nmicroenvironments: (a) as inclusions filling porosities within\narsenopyrite–löllingite intergrowths; (b) associated with amphibole +\ncarbonate + tourmaline alteration in proximity to pyrrhotite mineralization;\n(c) in late microfractures cross-cutting silicate gangue; and (d) within\ncomposite epidote–pyrrhotite ± chalcopyrite ± graphite assemblages. This\nfour-fold textural occurrence is consistent with a syn- to post-metamorphic\nremobilization of an originally stratabound (BIF-hosted) gold endowment, and\nit explains the highly variable gold distribution observed at the centimetre\nscale — precisely the rationale for the 25 cm sub-sampling program now being\nreported.\n\nWhole-rock geochemistry on previously analyzed Meridian Zone material\nindicates a clear positive correlation of gold with arsenic, copper, total\niron (as Fe₂O₃), manganese (MnO) and sulphur, and a negative correlation\nwith Al₂O₃, TiO₂ and CaO. Arsenopyrite and löllingite together form a\npervasive trace-to-1.5 vol.% sulphide population throughout mineralized\nintervals, and elevated arsenic concentrations (>200 ppm As) serve as a\nreliable pathfinder for gold targeting. The Company expects the pending\nmulti-element results to allow further geochemical fingerprinting of the\nhigh-grade bands identified by the current re-sampling program.\n\nSurface and shallow-drilling work previously completed by Stelmine Canada Ltd\nbetween 2020 and 2023 established a 1.7 km gold-mineralized corridor along the\nMeridian Zone, with channel and grab samples returning weighted-mean values of\n0.55 to 5.10 g/t Au over channel lengths of 1.2 to 27.5 m, and individual\nbands of rusted pyroxene–garnet–arsenopyrite material reproducibly\nreturning 1–10 g/t Au. The 2022 heliborne drilling campaign (13 holes, 1,937\nm) tested the down-dip continuity of this corridor and returned, among others,\n\nHistorical drill intercepts most relevant to the current re-sampling program\ninclude 2.62 g/t Au over 17.80 m in hole MCT-22-08, 1.13 g/t Au over 9.00 m\nand 1.12 g/t Au over 4.25 m in hole MCT-22-11, and 1.13 g/t Au over 9.75 m in\nhole MCT-22-03. The 25 cm sub-sampling results now confirm that these\ncomposite intervals contain individual sub-meter BIF bands returning grades\nsignificantly higher than the composite weighted mean, providing valuable\ninformation for future geological modelling and exploration targeting should\nthe project advance to economic studies.\n\nMethodology\n\nThe re-sampling program was designed to refine the spatial distribution of\ngold within historically mineralized drill core intervals (and selected\nmineralized outcrop material) by progressively reducing the sampling support\nfrom the original 0.5–1.5 m channel/core lengths to a uniform 25 cm support.\nThis sampling resolution is appropriate to the centimetric–decimetric\nbanding of the BIF protolith and is consistent with industry best practice for\nhigh-nugget systems hosted in iron formations. The 111 sub-samples were\nsubmitted to Impact Geosciences (IGS), an independent ISO-grade commercial\nlaboratory located in Delson, Québec. The analytical method was a 30-gram\nPb-Fusion Fire Assay with an ICP-OES finish, validated against gravimetric\nFire Assay (FA-GRAV-Au) for high-grade samples, with a reported detection\nlimit of 0.006 ppm Au (Hoffman et al., 1998; IGS SOP FC-MP-SAA/ICP).\n\nQuality Assurance and Quality Control\n\nThe Company implemented a rigorous quality-control protocol consisting of\ninsertion of Certified Reference Materials (Oreas 236, certified value 1.85\nppm Au), preparation blanks and laboratory replicates throughout the\nanalytical batches. All five inserted CRMs returned recoveries between 0.978\nand 1.054 of the expected value, well within the 1–2 σ confidence envelope\nof the certificate. All blank samples returned gold values below the\nreportable detection limit (<0.006 ppm Au). Replicate analyses on selected\nhigh-grade aliquots, including the peak 22-011-14 sub-sample (6.77 g/t Au /\n6.99 g/t Au), confirmed acceptable intra-sample reproducibility for a system\nknown to host centimetric high-grade bands and visible gold textures.\n\nQualified Person\n\nThe scientific and technical information contained in this news release has\nbeen reviewed and approved by George Yordanov, P.Geo., M.Sc., a “Qualified\nPerson” as defined under National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure\nfor Mineral Projects.
